Panthers Participate In Labor Day Classic Press Conference

Members of the Prairie View A&M University football program as well as Texas Southern participated in the Annual State Farm Labor Day Classic press conference on Monday, August 25th at Reliant Stadium. The event was a festive occasion as both programs’ head coaches and athletics directors voiced their expectations for the upcoming seasons and meeting between the Panthers and the Tigers. PVAMU head coach Henry Frazier III feels his bunch is well prepared and ready to play football. “We have great senior leadership on this ball club,” said Frazier. “Our players worked hard throughout the duration of camp. They’re excited about the opportunity to line-up against an opposing team and their eager to get the 2008 football season underway.”
The event which was held in the East club at Reliant Stadium attracted a capacity crowd as supporters of both programs as well as members of the local media were treated to a highly entertaining affair. After Texas Southerns’ head coach Johnnie Cole guaranteed a victory for the Tigers during his time at the podium, PVAMU’s Frazier had the following comments. “Anything moving on the field on Saturday will get hit,” said Frazier. “We plan on playing aggressive, confident football for 60 minutes.” The 24th Annual State Farm Labor Day Classic will take place on Saturday, August 30th at Reliant Stadium at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are currently being sold on the campuses of Prairie View A&M University and Texas Southern University.
