Houston Selects Local Organizing Committee Chairman for 2011 NCAA Men's Final Four

“I’m looking forward to my role as Chairman of the Local Organizing Committee for this prestigious collegiate event,” said Beauchamp. “In recent years, Houston has been privileged to host both the World Series and the Super Bowl. Hosting the finals of the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship is another great opportunity for this city to showcase everything that makes Houston – and Houstonians – so terrific. I look forward to working with the local corporate and community leaders to make the 2011 Final Four a terrific experience for everyone involved, including those representing the four institutions whose teams advance to the Final Four.”

The 2011 NCAA Men’s Final Four will be held April 2-4 at Reliant Stadium.

Beauchamp currently serves on the boards of National Oilwell Varco, Memorial-Hermann Healthcare System, Houston Police Foundation and the New York Stock Exchange's International Advisory Committee. He also is involved with a number of prominent industry and civic organizations.
