Jazz Up Easter with Brunch and Family Fun at Hotel ZaZa

It’s a family affair this Easter at Hotel ZaZa. Executive Chef Aaron Neeley will offer Easter Brunch, live music and holiday entertainment – including an egg hunt – in the hotel’s decadent Phantom Ballroom on Sunday, April 12. With two seatings – 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. – Easter brunch includes a gourmet buffet and live jazz with views of the neighboring Mecom Fountain and Museum District through the ballroom’s panoramic windows. Kids will enjoy a petting zoo, Easter egg hunt, and a special visit from the ZaZa Chicken – a playful twist on the Easter Bunny.
Traditional brunch fare alongside special holiday additions comprise Chef Neeley’s Easter buffet – including an All-American Mini Hot Dog Cart for the young and young-at-heart.
Salads and starters include Caprese Salad, Grilled Jumbo Asparagus, Pesto Rotini Salad, Spring Greens, Chicken and Sausage Gumbo and Caesar Salad. Savory entrees such as Roasted Black Cod, served with pear tomatoes, gnocchi and basil butter will be available, as will Roasted Chicken, Braised Short Ribs, Grilled Texas Quail with smoked bacon polenta and a whiskey glaze, Lobster Ravioli, and Louisiana BBQ Shrimp with cheddar grits. Sides include Roasted Garlic Mashers, Smoked Bacon Mac and Cheese, Red Wine-Braised Mushrooms, Green Bean Casserole and Butter-Braised Sweet Potatoes.
Brunch will also include an Omelet Station for made to order omelets; a Butcher Block Station featuring smoked New York Strip, marinated turkey breast and apple-brined pork loin; and an All American Mini Hot Dog Cart Station including chili-cheese dogs, mac and cheese, and crinkle-cut fries.
Featured displays will include French Toast, Waffles and Pancakes with strawberries, whipped cream, syrup and toasted almond toppings; an Artisan Cheese Display; an Antipasti Platter with prosciutto, salami, grilled vegetables and assorted olives; Sushi; Chilled Seafood; and Assorted Pastries and Artisan Breads with croissants, danishes, and scones.
Easter sweets will not disappoint: Assorted Cupcakes, Brownies, Banana Bread Pudding and Assorted Mini Pies; or for the more adventurous, a “Build Your Own” sundae and cupcake bar will let guests create personalized confections.
