Kennedy Wilson, the international real estate investment and services company, today unveils three custom penthouse show homes at The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Lake Tahoe. The debut of the show homes designed by the dynamic Jay Jeffers, named one of the country’s top designers by ELLE Décor Magazine, takes place in tandem with the highly anticipated grand opening of the 23 penthouses which comprise The Residences. Available for immediate purchase, a three-bedroom and a four-bedroom residence by the designer were unveiled on February 17; a four-bedroom split-level penthouse will debut in mid-March 2013.
Encompassing the entire top floor and a private wing of the third floor of The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe, the region’s first Forbes Four Star and AAA Five Diamond resort and the first Ritz-Carlton Resort to receive LEED Certification from U.S. Green Building Council, The Residences combine the charm, excitement and possibilities of Tahoe with the warmth, style and legacy of The Ritz-Carlton brand. The newly designed model penthouses by Jeffers cater to the next generation of style-savvy Tahoe enthusiasts and provide a modern take on typical mountain vacation homes.
“We knew the design of the model penthouses must align with the stately allure of this exceptional resort, perched mid-mountain at Northstar. Given his modern style and exquisitely curated designs, Jay Jeffers immediately came to mind for the task,” said Stuart Cramer, president of KW Residential Investment Group. “These newly unveiled penthouses reflect the luxury and sophistication of The Ritz-Carlton brand and are complemented by the unprecedented amenities and unique lifestyle afforded to owners of The Residences. We are confident the show homes will be among the most sought-after residences in the Tahoe market.”
Comprised of two-, three-, and four-bedroom penthouses ranging from 1,554 to 3,407 square feet, The Residences are whole ownership homes, selling from $1,250,000 to $4,500,000, and offering unprecedented ownership privileges. Perched mid-mountain at an elevation of 7,000 feet, the ski-in/ski-out residences boast exceptional views of Northstar Mountain, Martis Valley and Mt. Rose, with each penthouse featuring a unique floor plan that affords residents luxurious yet livable homes. These penthouses are destined to welcome some of the region’s most prominent families and dynamic young professionals, looking for the finest in design and quality, all supported by The Ritz-Carlton legacy of service excellence.
Inspired by a commitment to refined living and Lake Tahoe’s active lifestyle, Jeffers’ model homes bring cosmopolitan style to the mountains, marrying the urbane and the organic in a look he likes to call, “California Mountain.” Jeffers conceptualized the design of these show homes with a young, affluent, design-conscious clientele in mind. The spaces feature a cool gray palette as the backdrop for furnishings that marry industrial and natural materials: a white-oak bed with metal detailing, graphic faux-boix wallpaper and a reclaimed-wood club chair, for example, are all fresh takes on mountain vernacular. All design elements for the show homes are also tailored to the Tahoe ski-in lifestyle: they are cool, comfortable and never high-maintenance.
“I’m thrilled to be working on The Residences, which embody great style and elegant living. We've designed vacation homes for our clients in Tahoe and beyond, and have learned it’s about easy living without sacrificing great style. Over the years, we’ve developed a wealth of resources to enable us to make that happen flawlessly,” said Jay Jeffers.
