WHAT: Children’s Museum Houston to host launch of Lisa Holthouse’s new children’s book, IT ALL STARTED WITH A TURTLE featuring author readings + signing, a lemonade stand serving lemon snow cones and lemonade, a yellow candy bar, turtles and tortoises provided by the TWRC Wildlife Center and you’ll have an opportunity to sign your child up for Lemonade Day to receive a free back pack on Saturday, March 23, 2013 from 11AM-1PM.

ABOUT THE BOOK: IT ALL STARTED WITH A TURTLE is the story of how Lemonade Day began. Written by Lemonade Day co-founder Lisa Holthouse, it describes through colorful illustrations how a global movement was created from the dream of a little girl to add a turtle to her menagerie of pets. All proceeds from the sale of the book will benefit Lemonade Day.

WHO: Lisa Holthouse is a mother, wife, philanthropist and author. As co-founder of Prepared for Life and Lemonade Day, Holthouse works tirelessly to teach all children across the world the meaning of success by providing them with life skills and character education. Through both of these nonprofit organizations, her goal is to reach 1 million children in 100 cities. Lisa and her family reside in Houston, Texas.
