Real Women Wear Aprons

That’s the thing I try to explain to people and it sort of gets lost in translation. When you like ...

I love food.

I love women.

I love fashionable women that have a flair for the dramatic.

There aren’t many scenes in life sexier than knocking on her door trying to balance flowers, wine and tequila and she opens it in a dress, heels and an apron on, bouncy hair, lips soft and inviting. Her home smelling like scented candles and a great meal. I’m not an ungrateful man, I know she didn’t cook that meal in the heels or the dress and probably didn’t wear the apron. As a matter of fact I know more than likely she’s doing this all for me because she knows I’ll appreciate it.

That’s the thing I try to explain to people and it sort of gets lost in translation. When you like someone, love someone, it’s okay to do things that aren’t in your character every now and again. It’s okay to give him or her a night they’ll never forget. I can’t speak for all men but I wouldn’t be expecting this every time I come over for dinner and the truth is I’d love you if we were in sweats and t-shirts going to the movies on a Monday night just as much as I would if you look like a Stepford Wife.

When a woman can cook, when the cornbread is fluffy and just the right balance between sweet and buttery. When she can stand over a stove and grab this seasoning and that seasoning without measuring or looking but you know it’s going to come out amazing. That’s a turn on. You’re sitting at work, a stressful day and you get that text, “What do you want for dinner tonight?” Knowing that whatever you say she’ll calculate in her mind what she needs from the grocery store and it’ll be simmering on the stove or in the oven that night. Does a woman have to know how to cook? Of course not, I can cook, there’s an exponential amount of restaurants and easy to fix meals available but it’s cool when she can. Especially if the apron is sexy and the shorts are short.

Life is dope when you know what you want, what you’re looking for. I’m not a guy that cares if a woman makes more than me or if she’s tall or short, slim or thick, light or dark. What I do care about is whether or not she likes being a woman. If she embraces pretty things and cute outfits. If she doesn’t, the likely hood that I’m going to be infatuated is slim to none.
