Houston, TX (May 13, 2014) - The Salvation Army Family Stores, managed by The Salvation Army’s Adult Rehabilitation Center (ARC), will be celebrating National Salvation Army Week by offering special sales and a silent auction all week long and hosting a “Customer Appreciation Day” on Wednesday, May 14 at the Salvation Army Family Store #1.
From Monday, May 12 to Friday, May 16, all six Family Stores will be offering senior citizens 50% off all store items (except furniture and bric-a-brac) all week long and all customers will receive 50% off select items. At the flagship location, Family Store #1, there will be a sidewalk sale and book sale from Monday to Friday. Additionally, customers at Family Store #1 will be able to bid on items such as paintings, oriental rugs, gym membership, etc. at the Silent Auction, ending Friday, May 16.
To thank our customers for shopping at the Salvation Army Family Stores and, in turn, supporting the ARC, “Customer Appreciation Day” will be held on Wednesday, May 14, from 12 noon to 2 p.m. at Family Store #1. Customers will enjoy free hotdogs, chips and water being distributed from our mobile kitchen aka “canteen”.
