The 8 Founders of the organization are Ladies: Franchell Boswell, Ina Bolton Brown, Augusta Cash Latham, Ozell Dean, Willie Lee Glass, LaVerne Madlock, Georgia Presswood Nelson and Ruth Payne Smith. All are deceased with the exception of Ozell Dean and LaVerne Madlock.

The Past TLOD National Presidents have also played a major role in the existence of Top Ladies of Distinction, Inc. and seven of them are expected to be onsite to meet and greet guests and the awesome group of ladies.

Lady Franchell Boswell, Founder, served as the 1st National President of TLOD and Lavern Madlock served as the 2nd National President. Their focus was primarily on the motto, “Service to the Youth of our Community” Faye Bryant – 3rd National President; theme, “TLOD-Shapers of Change”, Vivian Crawley – 4th National President; theme, “Shapers of Change – We have a Continuing Commitment”; Bobbie Moorehead – 5th National President; theme, – “Networking to Serve Youth and Adults”; Jacquelyn Parker – 6th National President; theme, – ”As Shapers of Change, Orbiting Towards the 21st Century”; Marie Stellos – 7th National President; theme, – “Programming our Thrusts for Greater Advancement in the 21st Century”; Dorothy Allen Chimney – 8th National President; theme, – “Mentoring, Nurturing and Collaborating to Serve Youth and Adults with Unity of Purpose”; Vivien Coe Richard – 9th National President; theme, – “Soaring to New Heights of Service, Fulfilling the Dream of our Founders, Enhancing the Vision”; Peggy Lewis LeCompte – 10th National President; theme, – “TLOD: Mobilizing Youth and Adults to Provide Global Service and 21st Century Leadership”; Jackie W. Pope – 11th National President; theme, – “Empowering Youth and Adults to Provide Exemplary Service with Passion and Purpose”.

Additionally, seven of the Past TTA National Presidents are also expected to be in attendance, along with the first National TTA President to serve Top Teens of America in the person of (Lady) Harnell E. Price Williams.

The national theme for this administration is, “Impacting our Future through Positive Interventions in the Lives of our Youth, Our Communities, and Our Legacy through Effective Volunteerism”. Log on to to learn more information about the organization.
