(CNN) -- President Barack Obama said Thursday he would reach out to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to explain and defend the tentative framework of a deal to keep Iran's nuclear program peaceful. "If in fact, Prime Minister Netanyahu is looking for the most effective way to ensure that Iran doesn't get a nuclear weapon, this is the best option," Obama said Thursday from the Rose Garden at the White House.
