Texas Renaissance Festival King Celebrates National Honor with Ticket Sale of the Century on May 2

TODD MISSION, Texas (April 20, 2015) — The Texas Renaissance Festival is in a celebratory mood over winning the number one spot in USA Today’s list of “Best Cultural Festivals”, and to thank supporters of the Texas Renaissance Festival for the winning votes, the King has issued a proclamation that May 2 will mark the Ticket Sale of the Century.
Tickets will go on sale online for one day only at a discounted rate at $11.50 for adults (half of the regular gate price). Admission is free for children under the age of four throughout the season. In addition, kids 12 and under are admitted free of charge every Sunday.
“Let the news spread across the land – the Texas Renaissance Festival is coming and the time draws nigh to purchase tickets at a glorious rate,” exclaims His Royal Highness. “I hereby invite all lords and ladies to make the journey and find out why our festival was voted the Best Cultural Festival in all the land.”
The Texas Renaissance Festival is one of the nation’s largest and most acclaimed Renaissance festivals, taking place over eight exciting weekends from Saturday, October 10 through November 29, 2015. Each weekend, a different theme comes to life across the 55-acre festival grounds including; Oktoberfest, 1001 Dreams, All Hallows Eve, Pirate Adventure, Roman Bacchanal, Barbarian Invasion, Highland Fling, and Celtic Christmas.
Tickets can be purchased online only at www.texrenfest.com. Up to 35 tickets may be purchased per transaction. Discount tickets for opening weekend and Sundays will not be offered this season.
