HOUSTON, TX - The Houston Astros, who have led the AL Western Division since April 19, return home for an exciting seven-game homestand this Thursday. The Astros have been dominant at Minute Maid Park of late, posting a 15-5 record in their last 20 home games. Houston hosts the New York Yankees for a four-game set, beginning on Thursday, June 25 through Sunday, June 28. Following that series, the reigning American League champion Kansas City Royals come to Minute Maid Park for three games on Monday, June 29 through Wednesday, July 1. The Astros continue to lead the Majors in home runs with 104 and the AL in stolen bases with 56. From June 14 through June 21, the Astros hit multiple home runs in eight straight games, which set a franchise record.

The Astros are strongly encouraging fans to #VoteAltuve to the 2015 All-Star Game by visiting www.astros.com/vote or by using the Ballpark app at Minute Maid Park for a chance to win great Astros prizes. As of June 22, 2B Jose Altuve (6,086,193) trailed only 2B Omar Infante (6,521,733) of the Kansas City Royals. The Astros are hoping Altuve can become just the seventh player in franchise history to earn a fan-elected start, the first since 1B Lance Berkman in 2008.

The “Season of the #Whiff” campaign, in partnership with the Astros, MLB and Head & Shoulders, continues to raise money for local RBI programs through Twitter. The team with the most #Whiff tweets, including retweets, will earn a donation for their location RBI league, and the top monthly winner will earn a $10,000 donation. Fans can participate and help raise money for the Astros RBI program by including #Whiff and @Astros in their tweets or retweets, with a 27 tweet limit per Twitter handle.
