Women’s group UltraViolet Co-Founder Shaunna Thomas issued the following statement in response to Hulu’s decision to drop TLC’s “19 Kids and Counting” reality show:

“We are encouraged to see Hulu taking a stand against child sexual abuse by removing the Duggars reality show from their platform. Child sex abusers should not be rewarded with fame or fortune, and certainly not with a television show on TLC. We urge TLC to follow Hulu’s example and cancel this show once and for all— and for Amazon and Google to follow suit be removing back episodes from their platforms. It’s time for TLC to stop glamorizing and promoting a child sex abuser.”

24,581 UltraViolet members signed onto a petition demanding TLC drop the show once and for all:http://act.weareultraviolet.org/sign/tlc_duggars/?source=uvmedia
