HOUSTON – Goode’s Armadillo Palace comes to life as Houston’s premier social hub following BBQ Cook-off weekend and Rodeo festivities, serving a lineup of live Texas country and folk rock performances February 25 – March 19. Continuing its commitment to celebrating Texas music, food, and culture, the restaurant and dance hall will showcase the talents of local and regional artists and serve a special late night menu of street tacos and barbecued bites during bar hours on performance nights.

The events kick off Thursday, February 25 for Cook-off weekend, with three days of outdoor barbequing and live music. Events include:

Thursday, February 25

Brats & Beer

Enjoy late night brats, pig skins, and other snacks while dancing to live tunes from Dale Watson.

Friday, February 26

Meat & Greet

During the ultimate barbeque experience, enjoy beer and cocktails and feast your eyes on half a steer roasting over an outside fire all day. In the evening, enjoy late night street beef tacos and a performance by The Damn Quails.

Saturday, February 27

Hog Wild

The weekend barbeque continues with a whole hog cooked on a rotisserie over an outside fire all day. In the evening, enjoy pork tacos and a performance by Two Tons of Steel.
