Houston’s Favorite Independent Music Fest Adds Art to the Madness

Phil Peterson, owner of A*RV Presents has been booking underground indie shows for bars, restaurants and venues across the inner loop since 2011. He also serves as stage manager and sound engineer for live music salty venues and festivals like October’s East End Street Festival. Phil is currently a booking agent for Alley Kat, Satellite Bar and Red Light at Springbok.
Sarah Gregory, on her 4th festival working directly with Jason and Phil often plays chameleon in the music production world, jumping roles from Artist Relations to Stage management and booking. Starting at Zenhill Records (which was Sugarhill and Zenfilms record label) in 2011 and now working with Splice Records, Sarah constantly has her ear to the ground on up-n-coming talent and works with the industry to keep live music active within the city. Her portfolio includes album release party productions, contracting for several festivals including Madness on Main Street, Yes Indeed!, Sustainable living fest, Haute Wheels Food Truck Fest, Big Brew, FPSF, Houston Beer fest, Woodlands Beer Fest, Texas Tequila & Margarita and cofounded the Bowie Elvis Fest and River Revival. She’s won Houston Music Maven 2013.
Marissa Saenz stepped into the local music scene three years ago coming from 15 years corporate marketing. She launched her event marketing company, Pure Peach in 2013 pushing the Marketing industry to invest sponsorship dollars into regional events produced by the local music and art community. Her portfolio includes promotional marketing campaigns for the following companies: Walmart, Bank of America, Guerrero Tortillas, Maseca (Gruma), Cricket Communications, Verizon Fios, KRAFT Singles, Maxwell House, Quilted Northern, Zantac, Reliant Energy, Sonic, Dr Pepper Snapple Group, Heineken, Mike’s Hard Lemonade, Baylor College of Medicine, Mary Kay, NASCAR and Memorial Hermann. Marissa represents several Texas festivals in regards to their sponsorship sales.
Newly added member of the crew, Angel Garza (aka @Tenpast7) serves as master designer for the festival. The San Antonian and multi-genre music fan disguises himself as advertising Creative Director by day and prides himself in designing visuals that reflect the brand as well as engage the audience. His concepts go from napkin doodles all the way to viral social media content.
