Dawn Paul was raised in Lewisville, TX and is proud of her Southern roots. Dawn received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Jarvis Christian College and always knew she wanted a successful career in media. After being in Houston for a little over 10 years, she considers Houston her home. Since 2011, Dawn has been providing stellar writing and reporting to Houston Style Magazine’s fan base. Dawn doesn’t put herself in a box when it comes to media coverage and covers local and national events. Her energy and charismatic charm provide her opportunities to successfully interview community members, celebrities, politicians and other newsmakers. Her media talents with Houston Style Magazine have opened doors for her to be a radio personality, co-hosting a night time radio talk show on MJWJ Global Radio Network. She is also a successful public speaker, bringing her energetic voice to host events, conferences, galas, etc. Dawn’s mantra is “Dream It, Think It, Work It, Achieve it!”

A Customer Experience at Raising Cane’s Reminds Us of Corporate Responsibility and Customer Power

Last year in October when Mr. Jackson (African-American) and his co-workers (also African-American) patronized a Raising Cane’s location in Arlington, Texas, a quick lunch turned into an uncomfortable situation. Mr. Jackson and his co-workers state that October last year they had lunch at the establishment and also placed a to-go order to take back to the office. The customer name on the receipt (Mr. Jackson provided copy) for the to-go order read "KKK" rather than "SMI," his customer name on the first receipt. He states that admittedly the Raising Cane's employee “Natalie” (employee name on receipt) put "KKK" on the receipt as a joke.
