SHAPE Community Center's Second Annual International Food Festival

On Saturday, April 29, 2017, SHAPE Community Center will present its Second Annual International Food Festival from 12 noon to 5pm at 3815 Live Oak and Alabama. Come and experience multicultural connections of gastronomic proportions! Some of the countries and ethnicities that will be represented include Cameroon, French-Louisiana (Cajon Creole), Grenada, Guyana, India, Japan, Nigeria, Taiwan, St. Lucia, and many more! The International Food Festival will feature some of our local international restaurants and premier chefs in the community. Festival attendees will partake of tasty eateries from around the world.
SHAPE Community Center has been a part of the Houston community for the past 47 years. SHAPE strengthens families, promotes social justice, and helps bring about an equitable society which offers opportunity to every individual. SHAPE Community Center depends on the community for financial support. All proceeds from the Second Annual International Food Festival will go towards sustaining SHAPE’s work in the community.
The event will not only feature international food but also multicultural entertainment—signing, dancing, storytelling and other types of entertainment. Fun activities for children will include Mollie Stevenson Ranch Petting Zoo, crafts, and face painting activities.
