Dear Friends and Neighbors:

Our office was informed by CenterPoint Energy that the 5,700 customers who lost power because the Memorial substation, along with a number of key circuits, were inundated with water, should start to see power coming back online today. CenterPoint has constructed a mobile substation as a workaround and will start bringing the first customers back online today.

They are not able to restore power to everyone at the same time without risking failure of the new equipment, so customers will be added over the next three days. If your power does not come back on by Friday, please call CenterPoint. Your patience is requested.

If you have any questions regarding this matter, please contact CenterPoint directly.
