More than 150,000 men and women are incarcerated in Texas. Upon release, those who’ve made retribution often find themselves in circumstances that are akin to punishment. Finding a job and quality housing for ex-offenders can be difficult, and many former inmates end up becoming homeless. Research shows a positive link between ex-offender re-entry programs and a decrease in recidivism.
