Council Member Dwight Boykins will honor Houston firefighters and paramedics who responded to the mass shooting of Houston police officers last January, which occurred as the officers were attempting to serve a narcotics warrant.
Fire Station 26 received the dispatch and members of C shift answered the call, immediately charging into danger to save the lives of the officers.
Council Member Boykins will present the members of C shift with a proclamation at 3:30 pm on Tuesday, August 20th, 2019, at Fire Station 26, located at 7111 Dixie Drive, Houston, Texas, 77087.
The Council Member has also invited the firefighters along with their spouses and significant others to accompany him as his special guest at Tuesday night's home game between the Houston Astros and Detroit Tigers.
"Our first responders are all part of one close knit family," said Council Member Boykins. "They are bound by oath to serve and protect and never let one another down."
