This is not your grandparents’ Democratic Party. Nor is it your parents’ Democratic Party. This is a group of socialistic, inexperienced “hotshots” who believe they have it all figured out. One of the rising stars is a 30-year-old aggressive (beyond progressive) from The Bronx. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has become a major player in the leadership of the new far left leaning DNC. She believes she has it all figured out. I guess she formed this while she worked her previous profession – bartender and waitress at a neighborhood restaurant. She has accomplished one major victory. She out campaigned a veteran Democrat who was an active member of the Ways & Means Committee. Her first ambition is to implement a new overall approach to environmentalism. She doesn’t sit on the environmental committee but that isn’t stopping her. The following proposal has nothing to do with her current committee assignments: Financial Services and Oversight. By the way, she is a member of the Democratic Socialists of America.

Last week she unveiled her answer to the world climate problems. With no background or apparent research, she has put together a very aggressive and provocative proposition for us to accept and blindly follow her lead (she has no proven leadership experience whatsoever). With only her bachelor’s degree from Boston University, she has come up with a scientific strategy that will save our earth from the evil effects of Climate Change. Her budget for this endeavor is estimated (no justification or proof) over 100 trillion dollars. That is over four hundred percent of our current national debt. How are we going to pay for it? Who knows? So, let’s look at this remarkable Green New Deal.

She wants to remove all cows from our earth. Her intentions are to alleviate us from the methane gas that is caused by their farting. Our people, you can’t make this up. This is far from subtle! Imagine no more beef. This would be the demise of one of the most important sources for our sustenance. The meat sections of our grocery stores will be no more. Likewise, there goes our dairy sections -milk, butter, ice cream, etc. Basically, there goes our groceries stores per se. Some of the important ingredients in most of our cooking cuisine. There will be no more restaurants and cafeterias as we know them. Bye, bye Arby’s, Burger King, McDonalds and the like. How many millions of jobs is that going to cost? That is just the start of it!

Ranchers beware! AOC has planned your demise. Without ranches there would be no need for meat packing plants and the trucking industry will come to a halt. All the food stock that is grown for the cattle industry such as corn, wheat, soybeans, etc. will just go away overnight. Goodbye Archer Daniels, Quaker Oats and the like. Heavy farming equipment manufacturers such as John Deere, Caterpillar, etc. will wither away. Millions upon millions of jobs will cease. We are talking about an economic crisis that will make the Great Depression look like a picnic.

Oh yes! What about leather products? Imagine a world without shoes, furniture, coats, etc. Can’t play or watch football and base ball without the balls to carry or hit.

This is just the starting components of preforming a Holocaust on our cattle industry. How do we replace the lost nutrition, and the trillions of dollars generated from our ranching industry? She does not provide any hint of a funding mechanism for this “Armageddon”.

There are other “nuggets” from this preposterous proposal that surprisingly she is gathering support from her socialist comrades. How about ending the airplane industry? All future travel should be by high speed rail. Try working that out in traveling abroad across the major oceans of the world.

She demands a 100% transition to renewable energy within 10 years but doesn’t explain how to do it. Nor has any idea of what the economic strain would be on our economy.

She is demanding that we eliminate the use of fossil fuels completely. That would be about 1 million jobs. Where do the unemployed go and how do they exist?

The Congresswoman wants to replace or upgrade every building in the entire United States with retrofitting and environmental technology. All this within ten years. How many trillions of dollars would this cost?

Oh yes, how about requiring government-provided health care, jobs, wages, paid vacations, retirement benefits, housing, food, college, “access to nature” and dozens of other “goodies”, such as cash to those who are not willing to work.

The list goes on and on without any logic or method of implementation. The most surprising thing is that the Democratic Party is seriously considering her proposal. The above is being discussed and considered within the halls of Congress right now. Washington, DC is turning into the proverbial “Cuckoo Nest”. May God save our country and slap us out of this fantasyland type of political leadership.

Meanwhile our international enemies are laughing their butts off.
