After a tough 126-120 loss to the Phoenix Suns on Monday, the Houston are back in action against the Indiana Pacers looking to carry some of that defensive intensity they had in the second half of the Suns game where they held one of the highest scoring teams to just 45 points after giving up 81 in the first half.

"We're a resilient team,” said center Christian Wood. “We have a lot of guys that are going to fight, claw. "We have a bunch of guys on this team that take pride in what they do. So, at halftime, our message was to just communicate and try to pick up the energy and be better in the second half, and I think we did that."

Indiana had their three-game winning streak come to an end on Tuesday against the Los Angeles Clippers 126-115 but look to rebound on the back-to-back in Houston as they will be going for their fourth straight win on the road.

Wednesday night’s matchup will also give Rockets fans a chance to see what could have been when Caris LeVert takes the floor for the Pacers. LeVert was involved in the blockbuster trade that sent James Harden to the Brooklyn Nets. In return the Rockets received a package that included LeVert and three first-round draft picks, but he never made it to Houston as he was traded to the Pacers for guard Victor Oladipo.

Rockets head coach Stephen Silas will once again face adversity when it comes to a consistent playing rotation as he will be without the services of reserve players D.J. Augustin (left ankle) and Sterling Brown (left knee). Yet what he does have is a starting lineup that includes John Wall and Kevin Porter Jr. who combined for 35 points and 22 assists on Monday.

“The more reps you get, the easier things get,” said Porter Jr. after the game about getting acclimated to playing the point guard position.

Tip-off is 8 p.m. cst.
