Whiskey Cake Hosts July Pairing Dinner Featuring High West Distillery

Whiskey Cake Kitchen & Bar is inviting guests in the Stafford area to enjoy a special evening during this month’s pairing dinner featuring High West Distillery.

On Tuesday, July 29 at 7 p.m., Whiskey Cake in Stafford, located at 12575 SW Freeway, is hosting a five-course dinner where guests can explore craft cocktails and spirits from the Utah-based distillery while enjoying complementing dinner pairings. The one-of-a-kind, delicious prix-fixe menu includes:

First Course

Texas Quail and Cowboy Caviar – Black-eyed peas, black beans, corn, tomatoes, peppers and tangy lime dressing.

A Prairie Sunrise – High West American Prairie, orange, lime, orange jalapeno syrup and basil.

Second Course

Hoecakes – Summer corn, fresh summer vegetables and buttermilk bread sauce.

High Rye’d – High West Double Rye, prickly pear, sweet vermouth and Stone Pine liqueur.

Third Course

Lamb Pot Pie – Rich lamb and bourbon gravy, carrots, peas, onions and flaky pie crust.

Barreled Frontier Fashion – House Barrel-Aged American Prairie, brown sugar turbinado syrup and bitters.

Fourth Course

Venison Ragu – Grits and local vegetables.

High West Rendezvous Rye – Served neat.

Fifth Course

New Fashioned Peach Cobbler – Peaches, lemon, thyme and buttery biscuit crust.

The West 75 – High West Double Rye, lemon, peach bitters, peach-thyme syrup and champagne.
