Houston Instagram model ‘Miss Mercedes’ Janae Gagnier ‘killed in murder-suicide’

A popular Instagram model found dead in an apparent murder-suicide in Richmond was strangled and suffered a traumatic concussion, the Fort Bend County Medical Examiner told ABC13 Tuesday.
The model, identified as 33-year-old Jenae Gagnier, was also known as Miss Mercedes Morr on social media.
Who was Mercedes Morr?
Morr was known as an Instagram model who, according to her Instagram page, worked with the brand Fashion Nova.
With over 2.6 million followers on Instagram, rappers Cardi B, Snoop Dogg, and Megan Thee Stallion were among them.
While not much information is available on the model, she was 33 years old at the time of her death.
What was her cause of death?
According to a news release, the Richmond, Fort Bend authorities said that Morr's body was discovered at her home alongside the body of 34-year-old Kevin Alexander Accorto, around 4:30pm on Sunday, August 29.
Accorto's motive is still being investigated.
On Tuesday, the Fort Bend County Medical Examiner ruled Morr's death a homicide by strangulation and traumatic concussion, while Accorto's death was ruled a suicide by multiple sharp force trauma.
Rapper Tory Lanez was one of the first to confirm her death on social media.
"Rest in peace Queen," Lanez said on an Instagram story, alongside a picture of her.
Rapper Brittany Bangaz then added, "Please tell me this is not real."
"Mercedez I'm so sorry," the performer continued. "You did not deserve this at all. You had your whole life ahead of you. I remember all our times we had and you have always been the sweetest woman in the world. God bless you and your family. I'm sorry Mercedez rest in heaven."
Htown Ciara, one of the Morr's close friends, thanked people for "all the prayers and calls in regards to Mercedes" while adding that her "parents are asking that you respect the family."
"We know everyone is concerned. We will update when all the information is confirmed," she added, before thanking people once again.
