Clifford Tatum Named New Harris County Elections Administrator

By a vote of 5-0, Harris County now has a new elections administrator, and his name is Clifford Tatum. Judge Lina Hidalgo made the announced on late Tuesday evening. The five-member bipartisan Harris County Elections Commission will make the official appointment of Tatum once he moves to Harris County and becomes a registered voter.

"The bipartisan Election Commission unanimously named Clifford Tatum Harris County’s next Elections Administrator after a thorough process. He’s successfully led & advised elections departments over 16 yrs. Welcome Clifford and thank you to all members of the Commission," said Judge Hidalgo via Twitter.

Tatum has a long history of dealing with elections. Currently, he is the chief information security officer for the D.C. Board of elections. He has previous experience as the former interim elections administrator for the Georgia state government and former Executive Director for the District of Columbia Board of Elections. His extensive elections background crosses all levels nationwide.
