Everyone loves a good party. Planning is needed to make sure everyone has a great time. The key elements to a successful party are people, drinks, snacks, and music. The right music can set the vibe and put everyone in a party frame of mind. However, nowadays, partygoers want all those things and more to have the ultimate party experience. Johnathan Marks is taking partying to the next level with Trill On Wheels, Houston’s first hip-hop party bike tour.
He's from Houston. His wife is from NOLA. Mix that Creole with Texan to make Trill On Wheels, an homage to Houston’s hip-hop, art, and historic scene. Houston’s cultural scene has been a huge inspiration for Marks and his wife. Marks is especially a fan of the early 2000s, when the wave of Swisha House Records, Screwed Up Click, and all things screw really had a command over Houston’s music.
"I have always been a huge fan of the music culture out here, so we really just wanted to bring something to the city that would have a cultural impact, highlight and celebrate some of the artists in the city out here, as well as give us something fun to do during the summer and throughout the year," said Marks.
Trill On Wheels creates the best party by combining art and music to celebrate the culture. Imagine riding your bike through Houston's famous Third Ward with your favorite cocktail in one hand, the right song blaring in your ears, and twelve of your friends by your side; a great combination. The custom-built party bike sits on "swangas” aka tricked out wheels that are notable on SLAB (Slow, Loud, and Banging) cars with neon lights. The bike has a motor, so the pedaling done by guests is low-impact. One doesn’t have to be in athletic shape to enjoy the party. There is also a bench in the back of the bike for those who are not as mobile as others. It is equipped with a large bar and a booming sound system. The party bike comes with coolers, ice, cups, and your very own hype man, "Trappin’ Captain." It is a BYOB type of flavor, so guests are invited to bring their favorite party drink. The total experience allows guests to learn some Houston trivia, play party games like Trill Trivia and Trap Karaoke, enjoy smoking some hookah, vibe off a custom trap playlist, drink and have fun. Highlighted on the tour are historic spots like KCOH radio station, Emancipation Drive, and more. During the two-hour bike ride, two stops at Black owned local bars will be made for 20 minutes each to heighten the experience.
Book Trill On Wheels for any celebration for a birthday, anniversary, graduation, bachelor/bachelorette parties, or just because you want to let loose you are guaranteed to have an unforgettable time for a totally epic experience. Seats are sold individually for $35 per person. If you are a group of seven or more, you can save a little dough with the group rate of $365 for the entire bike.
Marks’ company is still new, but one couldn’t tell it from their booking calendar. Week after week, they are booked solid with Houston locals like Wreckshop, Chalie Boy, J-Dawg, and multiple media outlets, including Houston Style, giving their stamp of approval. Topping all that is the stamp of true authentication that 3rd Ward has given Trill On Wheels.
Being genuine to oneself by staying true and keeping it real is to be trill. So, party in the same way. Celebrate Houston’s unique culture in the realest way with a party by Trill On Wheels for the ultimate party experience.
