Black Women in Media Celebrates Juneteenth in the Hamptons
BWIM’s Juneteenth: Celebration of Liberation will include: Black Tasting Experience, Awards Ceremony, Live Entertainment, and so much more!

On Sunday, June 19th Black Women in Media will host this year's Juneteenth celebration in Long Island, NY. Over 200 guests will join BWIM for an exclusive celebration which includes luxury charter transportation to and from the Hamptons, a red carpet experience, cocktails, and a tour of the Southampton African American Museum (SAAM) which highlights the awe-inspiring and powerful Black history in the Hamptons.
The evening celebration, held on a Southampton beach, entails a Black Tasting Experience presented by Black Culinary Expo, a silent auction, live entertainment with singers, dancers, musicians. The awards ceremony will honor four Black women who are preserving the legacy and history of African Americans in the Hamptons: Brenda Simmons, Founder & Executive Director of SAAM; Dr. Georgette Grier-Key, Executive Director of the Eastville Community Historical Society; Robin Brown, Trustee of the Village of Southampton & Board President of the Eastville Community Historical Society; and Dr. Suzan Denise Johnson Cook, US Presidential Advisor & Pastor. BWIM will also highlight Black-owned businesses with our Beach Shopping Experience, and, in celebration of Fathers on their special day, BWIM will have a Father’s Day Cigar + Whiskey Lounge Experience.
