Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Houston hosted its 23rd annual golf tournament, Swing for Kids’ Sake, on May 9th at the Kingwood Country Club located in Kingwood, TX.
Kingwood Country Club has been a long-time supporter of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Houston and our mission of one-to-one mentoring. The Premier Sponsors of the event were CB&A Realtors, Macquarie, Andrew Delaney Foundation, Energy Transfer, New Quest Properties and Williams.
Over 176 attendees from both Oil & Gas and Real Estate industries competed on two of the club’s premier golf courses. Attendees enjoyed food provided by cookers from Method Architecture, Covia, NexTier and Wwesco USA Corp. Additionally, attendees enjoyed refreshing beverages from Shaggy Dog Bloody Mary Mix Company and appetizers from Nuksy’s Fine Catering in the VIP tent. After a successful day on the course, 1st and 2nd place awards were given to teams on both courses along with other contest prizes and raffles.
“It was a very exciting day. We are thankful to all of the sponsors, board members participants and staff that worked to make this a successful event. Swing is one of our signature events and proceeds from this event allow us to continue our mission of DEFENDING POTENTIAL”, said Alistine Turnbull-Blackshear, BBBS Greater Houston President
