Style Magazine Newswire | 9/13/2022, 12:58 p.m.
Compassionate Houston's Houston's Culture of Compassionate annual luncheon is less than three weeks away! Learn more and get your tickets here.
All ten nominated artists have accepted the invitation to attend Houston’s Culture of Compassion event in person.
Reserved the hour before the luncheon begins for you to meet and connect with the artists at The Briar Club from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Discover insights into their unique contribution to cultivating compassion within the Greater Houston community through their respective field of artistic expression (visual, musical, literary arts).
After you check in, get some light refreshments, visit with the artists in the ballroom, and network with friends and acquaintances until the luncheon begins.
That’s community and togetherness in action!
Moderating Compassionate Artists of the Year Awards
Meet acclaimed tenor Kenneth Gayle, a Compassionate Houston's Compassion Through the Arts committee member, who accepted our invitation to moderate the art program as part of our luncheon. Ken is an alumnus of the Lyric Opera of Chicago and Seattle Opera Young Artist programs and a former touring cast member of Three Mo' Tenors.
Compassion Week November 13-19, 2022
Compassionate Houston is a collaborative network of individuals and partner organizations with the mission to grow the compassionate culture of Greater Houston through awareness, education, community and service.
For one week each year, we tangibly showcase and share examples of Houston’s compassionate culture through our network’s offerings. That week is Compassion Week. This year our Compassion Week theme is "The Power of Kindness," launching on World Kindness Day, November 13. Mark your calendar for a line-up of events, programs, and projects around the theme that involve learning, practice, and engagement. We can’t wait to share our partner’s offerings with you at a later time.
