Breaking Barriers: Women's Entrepreneurship Program Tackles the Capital Gap for Female Founders
Style Magazine Newswire | 2/16/2023, 3 p.m.
Houston, TX - Despite the increasing number of women entrepreneurs, they still face significant disparities when it comes to accessing capital funding. A new program aims to change that by providing women entrepreneurs with the resources they need to succeed.
The Women's Entrepreneurship Program is designed to support women who are starting or growing a business by providing them with access to capital, mentorship, and networking opportunities. This program is a response to the well-documented funding disparities faced by women entrepreneurs, who receive only a fraction of the investment that their male counterparts receive.
"We believe that women entrepreneurs have the potential to drive significant economic growth, but too often, they lack the resources they need to succeed," said Latoya Hurley, director of the Women's Entrepreneurship Program. "Our goal is to bridge the funding gap and provide women with the support they need to turn their business ideas into reality."
The program will offer a range of services, including:
• Access to seed capital
• Mentorship and coaching from experienced business leaders
• Networking opportunities with other women entrepreneurs
• Workshops and training sessions on key business skills
• Access to a supportive community of like-minded individuals
"We're excited to launch this program and make a difference in the lives of women entrepreneurs," LaToya Hurley, Program Manager added. "We believe that by empowering women, we can create a more inclusive and equitable economy for everyone."
