Community Artists’ Collective and Community Music Center of Houston are proud to announce the 7th Annual Legacy Project, a month- long celebration of Black Music Month. The Legacy Project honors local and national individuals' contributions to music and seeks to create a sense of community through music.

This year, we’re honoring Dr. A. Jan Taylor, an accomplished pianist, singer, and choral conductor who has passionately served as the Director of Choral Music Activities at Prairie View A&M University.

Mark your calendars for the opening reception of the month-long art exhibition with Dr. A. Jan Taylor on Saturday, June 3rd, from 4:00-6:00 PM at the Community Artists’ Collective at 4101 San Jacinto St, Suite 116, Houston, TX 77004.

But wait, there’s more! Don’t miss the musical tribute on Sunday, June 4th, from 4:00-6:00 PM held at Pilgrim Congregational United Church, 3115 Blodgett St, Houston, TX 77004; that will include performances by talented

musicians and vocalists from all over the Houston area, including the chorale group Voices of Houston.
