In a significant move to boost child safety, Hyundai has partnered with the Memorial Health Dwaine and Cynthia Willett Children’s Hospital of Savannah and Safe Kids Savannah. The collaboration, now in its second year, has seen Hyundai contribute $75,000 towards the Child Passenger Safety Program, which focuses on educational events such as car seat safety checks conducted by certified technicians.

Heather Newsome, administrator for the hospital, expressed gratitude for Hyundai’s contribution: “This donation will empower us to provide car seats to families in need, ensuring their little ones remain safe on the road. Hyundai’s support is crucial in helping us protect our community’s future.”

Education is another cornerstone of Hyundai’s local involvement. The automaker has donated a total of $30,000 to STEM scholarships at Georgia Southern University, demonstrating its commitment to nurturing future leaders in science, technology, engineering, and math. As Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America nears completion, these scholarships are more vital than ever in preparing students for careers in cutting-edge industries.

Hyundai’s environmental efforts are manifested through its partnership with the Coastal Bryan Tree Foundation, an organization dedicated to the reforestation of Coastal Bryan County. Hyundai’s financial support aids in planting, promoting, and protecting the area's tree population, playing a crucial role in preserving the local ecosystem.

Hyundai’s team also actively participated in a volunteer day with America’s Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia, where employees packed nearly 3,000 breakfasts for the region's summer breakfast program for children.

Brandon Ramirez, Director of Corporate Social Responsibility at Hyundai Motor North America, highlights the company’s broader vision, stating, “Hyundai is dedicated to progressing humanity through thoughtful investments in local initiatives that support our new neighbors in coastal Georgia. Our partnerships reflect a deep commitment to the well-being and prosperity of the communities we serve.”
