Aldine ISD proudly welcomes the inaugural class of Health Education and Leadership (HEAL) High School, a pioneering initiative created through a partnership between Memorial Hermann Health System and Aldine ISD. This innovative program, supported by a $31 million grant from Bloomberg Philanthropies, offers students an unparalleled opportunity to receive a top-tier education while gaining practical, hands-on experience in the healthcare field.

"We are excited to open our doors and officially welcome the first class of HEAL High School," stated Dr. David Callender, president and CEO of Memorial Hermann. "This first-of-its-kind initiative is addressing the critical shortage of healthcare professionals, including nurses and technicians, that exists today."

Memorial Hermann remains dedicated to the long-term health and well-being of the community, and HEAL High School stands as a testament to that commitment.

Tiffany Williams brings over 18 years of educational experience to her new role. She has served Fort Bend ISD as a classroom teacher, reading recovery teacher, instructional coach, and most recently as the assistant principal at Hunters Glen Elementary. Williams holds a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Houston and a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Lamar University.

Tiffany Agina, with nearly 17 years of experience, has served as a classroom teacher and assistant principal at Rosa Parks Elementary and, most recently, at Schiff Elementary. Agina earned her bachelor’s degree in Health Education from the University of Houston and a master’s degree in Educational Management from the University of Houston–Clear Lake.

Both Williams and Agina bring a wealth of experience and leadership to their new positions, and Fort Bend ISD looks forward to their continued contributions to the district.

Katy ISD, in partnership with Compassion Katy, successfully hosted the Operation Back 2 School event, providing vital school supplies and backpacks to students at the district's Title 1 elementary schools. The drive-through giveaway, held in the Merrell Center parking lot, was a resounding success, serving more than 2,000 families.

Volunteers from both organizations worked tirelessly to ensure that students received the essential tools they need for the upcoming school year. The event not only equipped students with the necessary supplies but also brought smiles to the faces of families throughout the community.

Katy ISD and Compassion Katy's collaboration underscores their commitment to supporting the educational needs of all students, particularly those in underserved communities, as they prepare for the new school year.
