Fort Bend County Libraries invites you to immerse yourself in the vibrant traditions of Hispanic culture as we celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with an unforgettable performance by Ballet Folklorico Herencia Mexicana de Houston. Mark your calendars for Saturday, September 21, from 11:00 to 11:30 a.m., and join us at the picturesque Jodie E. Stavinoha Amphitheater at George Memorial Library, located at 1001 Golfview in Richmond.
A Spectacle of Color and Culture
Ballet Folklorico Herencia Mexicana de Houston, a revered cultural institution dedicated to preserving the rich heritage of Mexican folkloric dance, will dazzle audiences with a stunning display of traditional dance and music. The performance will highlight the intricate vestuario (costumes) and lively dances from Mexico’s Avasteca region and the vibrant state of Jalisco. Each step, twirl, and rhythm tells a story that has been passed down through generations, making this a truly special event.
Engage with the Performers
After the performance, guests are encouraged to stay for a special Q&A session with the performers, offering a unique opportunity to learn more about the cultural significance of the dances and costumes. Don’t forget to capture the moment with a photo alongside the talented dancers!
