In a stunning display of grit and determination, Keegan Bradley emerged victorious at the 2024 BMW Championship, held at the picturesque Castle Pines Golf Club in Castle Rock, Colorado. Bradley, who entered the tournament as the 50th and final player in the FedExCup Playoff standings, defied the odds to claim his second BMW Championship title with a final score of 12-under-par. This victory not only marks Bradley as the 20th player to win multiple BMW Championships but also rockets him to No. 4 in the FedExCup Playoff standings, securing his spot at the TOUR Championship in Atlanta.
The Ultimate Underdog Triumph
Bradley’s journey to the top wasn’t easy. Starting the week with the least favorable odds in the 50-player field, he embraced his role as the underdog, demonstrating that perseverance and skill can overcome any challenge. After a nail-biting final round where he finished even par at 72, Bradley sealed his victory by a single stroke, etching his name into the annals of golf history once again.
“Winning on the PGA Tour is always tough, but today was especially challenging,” Bradley said, beaming with pride. “Castle Pines is a spectacular venue, and the way they treated the caddies this week really meant a lot to all of us. I’m thrilled to have won the BMW Championship again.”
Bradley’s victory is particularly significant as he becomes the first U.S. Ryder Cup captain to win on the PGA TOUR since 2015. With this win, he now holds seven PGA TOUR titles, reaffirming his place among golf’s elite.
A Star-Studded Celebration
The championship was not just a win for Bradley but a celebration of golf itself. Sebastian Mackensen, President and CEO of BMW of North America, joined Western Golf Association Chairman Steve Colnitis, Castle Pines Golf Club Chairman and President George Solich, and Tournament Chairman Duffy Solich in presenting Bradley with the BMW Championship and J.K. Wadley trophies.
“The 2024 BMW Championship at Castle Pines Golf Club was a spectacular showcase of talent and sportsmanship,” said Mackensen. “Congratulations to Keegan Bradley for his incredible win, and a heartfelt thank you to all the players, fans, volunteers, and community members who made this event a success.”
A Legacy of Giving Back
Since BMW took the reins as the tournament’s sponsor in 2007, the BMW Championship has become synonymous with excellence, not only on the green but also in its commitment to philanthropy. The tournament has raised more than $50 million for the Evans Scholars Foundation, a charity dedicated to providing full housing and tuition scholarships to high-achieving caddies. Currently, a record 1,190 Evans Scholars are enrolled in 24 universities across the nation, pursuing their dreams of higher education.
The tournament week also featured the annual BMW Championship Gardner Heidrick Pro-Am, which drew a star-studded lineup of participants, including NFL legends John Elway and Peyton Manning, alongside country music icon Luke Bryan. The Pro-Am added an extra layer of excitement and entertainment, blending sports and celebrity culture in perfect harmony.
Looking Ahead
As the dust settles on this year’s championship, golf enthusiasts are already looking forward to next August when Bradley will defend his title at Caves Valley Golf Club in Owings Mills, Maryland. With future tournaments scheduled at Bellerive Country Club in St. Louis in 2026 and Liberty National Golf Club in Jersey City in 2027, the BMW Championship promises to continue its legacy of thrilling golf and impactful charity work.
