The Harris County Flood Control District (HCFCD) is taking proactive steps to address flooding concerns in the Vince Bayou watershed with the upcoming Virtual Community Engagement Meeting scheduled for Tuesday, September 10, 2024. This essential meeting, part of the ongoing Vince Bayou Drainage Improvements Project, invites residents to learn about the latest project updates, provide valuable feedback, and engage with HCFCD experts.

Understanding the Vince Bayou Drainage Improvements Project

The Vince Bayou Drainage Improvements Project is a critical initiative designed to tackle the flooding issues that have plagued the Vince Bayou watershed. Funded by the 2018 Bond Program, approved by Harris County voters on August 25, 2018, this project aims to implement effective solutions to reduce flood risks across the entire watershed.

The 2018 Bond Program underscores the importance of community engagement, ensuring that residents are actively involved in the development and execution of flood control measures. This upcoming meeting is an opportunity for the community to voice their concerns, ask questions, and gain insights into the progress of the project.
