Statement on Donald Trump Pretending He’s Not Responsible for Families Losing IVF Access

In response to Donald Trump trying to whitewash the reality he created, Biden-Harris campaign manager Julie Chavez Rodriguez released the following statement:
“American women couldn’t care less what Donald Trump posts on Truth Social, they care that they can’t access fertility treatment because of him.
“Let’s be clear: Alabama families losing access to IVF is a direct result of Donald Trump’s Supreme Court justices overturning Roe v. Wade. Trump is responsible for 20 plus abortion bans, restrictions on women’s ability to decide if and when to grow a family, and attacks on contraception. He proudly overturned Roe, and brags about it on the campaign trail — as recently as last night.
“Trump cannot run from his record and neither can the millions of women who his actions have hurt. Trump and his extreme MAGA allies are planning to ban abortion nationally, limit contraception, and destroy women’s health care coast to coast. Joe Biden and Kamala Harris will protect women’s health and freedom to make their own decisions about growing their families.”
Trump’s betting you let him off the hook so here’s a refresher on his record:
Trump appointed three anti-abortion Supreme Court justices.
Those justices overturned Roe v. Wade.
Trump’s MAGA Republican allies in states then banned abortion.
Donald Trump’s MAGA allies on the Hill have co-sponsored legislation that would similarly endanger IVF treatment nationally.
Now, MAGA Republicans are making it nearly impossible for women to receive the IVF care they need to start or grow their families.
Trump and his extremist allies are laying out plans for a nationwide abortion ban, attacks on same-sex marriage, and restrictions on contraception.
Trump appointed an anti-IVF judge to a lifetime judicial federal appointment. He even added her to a list of potential Supreme Court picks.
Trump’s White House and campaign hosted the Alabama Supreme Court chief justice who issued this extreme ruling ripping away IVF access.
Trump’s Supreme Court appointee Amy Coney Barrett supported calls to protect life from fertilization and refused to answer questions about criminalizing IVF.
