“One year ago, a Trump abortion ban went into effect in North Carolina after Trump’s friends in the state legislature voted to override Governor Cooper’s veto – unleashing immeasurable pain, harm and confusion on women across the state. Today, North Carolina is one of more than 20 states where women have been robbed of their reproductive freedom due to a Trump abortion ban.

“We must be vigilant about the stakes this November. President Biden and I will continue fighting to restore the protections of Roe. We trust women and fundamentally believe a politician should not come between a woman and her doctor. If Donald Trump gets the chance, he will make the health care crisis he unleashed on this country even worse and ban abortion nationwide, with or without Congress.

“The American people have stood up to protect their hard-fought freedoms time after time, and this November, they will raise their voices to reject Donald Trump at the ballot box once again.”
