Interfaith Ministries for Greater Houston (IM) proudly announces its annual Tapestry Gala, set for Saturday, October 26, 2024, at 6:30 p.m. at the Hilton Americas – Houston. This prestigious event will celebrate the power of dialogue, collaboration, and service, showcasing IM's commitment to uniting diverse communities across the Greater Houston area.

This year’s gala will honor Randall Evans, a distinguished community leader and friend of IM. As a Board-Certified Estate Planning and Probate Law attorney with Hirsch and Westheimer, Evans has made significant contributions as a trustee for several Houston foundations and served as IM’s Board Chair in 2023. His dedication to service and leadership makes him a deserving recipient of the Tapestry Honoree award.

Additionally, Sushma and Devinder Mahajan will receive the Spirit of Respect award for their extraordinary work in co-founding the Eternal Gandhi Museum. This museum is devoted to preserving Mahatma Gandhi's legacy and promoting the universal values of Truth, Nonviolence, Peace, Love, and Service, which resonate deeply with the mission of Interfaith Ministries.

Event Co-chairs Paula Sutton & Bill Gross and Nadia Tajalli & Dr. Shahin Tavackoli, alongside Interfaith Ministries President and CEO Martin B. Cominsky and Board Chair Dr. Kathy Flanagan, invite guests and supporters to an evening of inspiration and celebration. The Presenting Sponsor for the event is Shell USA, Inc.

For over 60 years, Interfaith Ministries has united people from diverse backgrounds to serve the Greater Houston area. IM's impactful programs include:

- Meals on Wheels for Greater Houston and Galveston County/Animeals: Delivering over two million meals annually to more than 5,000 homebound seniors and people with disabilities.

- Refugee Services: Partnering with the U.S. State Department and Episcopal Migration Ministries to resettle hundreds of refugees each year.
