In response to changing rider demands and traffic patterns, Houston METRO is rolling out a series of service adjustments across its local bus, Park & Ride, METRORapid, and curb2curb routes. These changes, effective June 16, 2024, aim to improve the overall customer experience and ensure that transit services are better aligned with passenger needs.

Key Enhancements Across Services

Local Bus Routes:

    - 63 Fondren: One of METRO’s busiest routes, the 63 Fondren, will now feature vehicles with increased seating capacity to accommodate more riders.

    - 82 Westheimer: This route will see an increase in late-night trips from Monday to Friday, catering to night-time commuters.

    - Milam and Travis Streets: Bus stops will revert to their pre-January 2023 locations, stopping at every other block, which will help streamline downtown travel.

- Park & Ride:

    - 221 Kingsland

    - 222 Grand Parkway

    - 228 Addicks

    - 265 West Bellfort

- METRORapid:

    - The Silver Line will now operate every 20 minutes, ensuring timely and efficient service.
