Houston HBCU Alumni Association Hosts Its 4th Annual Counselors & Student Advocates Summit 2024

The Houston HBCU Alumni Association (HHBCUAA) is thrilled to announce its 4th Annual "Counselors & Student Advocates Summit" on Friday, July 12, 2024. This highly anticipated event will take place from 10 AM to 1 PM at the historic Buffalo Soldiers National Museum, located at 3816 Caroline St., Houston, TX 77004. Theme: “Why an HBCU? Impacting Students through Equity, Advocacy & Social Justice”
The summit aims to foster meaningful connections with school counselors and student advocates to achieve several key objectives:
Develop Partnerships: Collaborate with area school representatives and student advocate groups to promote Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) to students.
Update on Admission Trends: Provide school counselors with the latest trends in HBCU admissions and recruitment.
Vision for Recruitment: Share the vision for HBCU recruitment and establish the annual Houston HBCU Alumni Association College Fair as a staple field trip for students.
HHBCUAA is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization and a consortium of active alumni, chapters, and supporters of over 50 HBCUs across the United States. The association is dedicated to informing prospective students about the numerous advantages of attending HBCUs and raising community awareness of these prestigious institutions.
