GMG Racing’s founder and visionary, James Sofronas, celebrated the launch of the facility with over 250 guests, who were the first to explore the 28,000-square-foot workshop. “This has been a lifelong dream,” Sofronas shared, beaming with pride. “From the moment I set foot on the Thermal Club grounds a decade ago, I knew this was where we needed to be. Today, that dream has become a reality.”

Among the night’s highlights was the ribbon-cutting ceremony, presided over by Sofronas and GMG’s veteran driver, Kyle Washington. The duo also unveiled the first North American delivery of the Porsche GT3 R Rennsport edition, one of only 77 in existence. This exclusive track beast, finished in a striking Bare Carbon livery with a retro-inspired "whale tail," wowed the crowd as the evening’s centerpiece.

Notable attendees included industry icons like Volker Holzmeyer, President of Porsche Motorsport North America; Jei Gort from Mobil 1; Thermal Club owner Tim Rogers; and Lamborghini North America’s Motorsports head Erik Skirmants.
