CITGO Fueling Good Partners with Alief Olle Middle School and Trees For Houston for Green Initiative

Alief Olle Middle School proudly announced a new partnership with CITGO Fueling Good, welcoming the energy company as its official STEM partner. In a collaborative effort with Trees For Houston, CITGO and Alief Olle Middle School are working together to donate and plant over 100 trees and plants, transforming the school grounds into a vibrant, green landscape.

The project brought together CITGO employees and Alief Olle students for a hands-on planting day. The team rolled up their sleeves to enhance the school’s outdoor environment, adding trees and plants to create a greener, more sustainable future for the Alief community. 

Through this partnership, CITGO aims to deepen its commitment to environmental responsibility and community engagement, fostering conservation efforts while supporting the next generation of STEM leaders. The school extended its gratitude to CITGO and Trees For Houston, celebrating a collective vision to grow a greener future for Alief Olle Middle School and beyond.

Fort Bend ISD Partners with Houston Health Department and AccessHealth to Provide Free Eye Care for Students

Fort Bend Independent School District (FBISD) is excited to announce its partnership with the Houston Health Department and AccessHealth to bring the See to Succeed program to students across the district. This impactful initiative offers free, comprehensive eye exams and eyewear to FBISD students, supporting both the district and the broader Houston community by ensuring students have access to essential vision resources.

Nearly 300 students from 38 campuses within Fort Bend ISD will benefit from the program, receiving new prescription glasses to improve their vision. The partnership underscores the district's commitment to student success, recognizing that clear vision is fundamental for learning and personal development, both in and out of the classroom.
By enhancing students' ability to see clearly, the *See to Succeed* program aims to set students on a path to success, equipping them with the tools they need to excel in school and beyond. Fort Bend ISD extends its gratitude to its partners for making this vision-focused initiative a reality.

Pasadena ISD Alumni Spotlight: Celebrating 55 Years of Service by Roger Woest

Pasadena Independent School District proudly shines a spotlight on one of its most dedicated alumni, Roger Woest, who has devoted over five decades to the district that shaped his early years. A graduate of Pasadena ISD, Roger attended several schools in the district before graduating from the then-new Sam Rayburn High School. His experiences as a student inspired him to return as an educator, where he has spent an extraordinary 55 years serving Pasadena ISD in various roles.

Roger’s journey within the district began as a teacher, eventually leading to a series of leadership roles that included an impressive 15-year tenure as Area Superintendent. When Pasadena Memorial High School opened, Roger returned to campus-level leadership, where he has continued to inspire students and colleagues alike for the past 22 years.

His contributions have shaped countless lives and will continue to inspire future generations. Thank you, Roger, for your incredible legacy!
