Since Texas' 2021 abortion ban, maternal mortality rates have skyrocketed by 56%, according to a September 2024 NBC News report. Senate Bill 8 criminalizes abortion assistance after six weeks unless in cases of medical emergencies, turning miscarriages into criminal investigations. This must end. We are here to demand the reinstatement of reproductive healthcare and safeguard women's lives and health."
