A Theatrical Masterpiece Reimagined

From the creative minds behind Broadway’s most groundbreaking productions, The Wiz redefines the classic story of The Wizard of Oz with a powerful all-Black ensemble, dazzling choreography, and a soulful, high-energy score. This revival, featuring an all-star cast and an award-winning production team, promises a theatrical experience like no other.

A Star-Studded Cast

Taking on the iconic role of Dorothy is Dana Cimone, making her national tour debut, alongside Broadway powerhouse Alan Mingo Jr. (Kinky Boots, Aladdin) as The Wiz. The cast also includes Sheherazade as Glinda, Kyla Jade as Aunt Em/Evillene, D. Jerome (MJ the Musical, Hamilton) as the Tinman, Mykal Kilgore (Motown The Musical, The Book of Mormon Tour) as the Lion, and Elijah Ahmad Lewis (Ain’t Too Proud, Motown The Musical) as the Scarecrow.

With a visionary team at the helm, The Wiz is set to be a visually stunning and emotionally powerful production. Under the direction of Schele Williams (The Notebook, Disney’s Aida), choreography by JaQuel Knight (Beyoncé’s "Single Ladies"), and additional material by Emmy-nominated writer Amber Ruffin, this reimagining will breathe new life into the beloved classic.

The Wiz first took Broadway by storm in 1975, winning seven Tony Awards, including Best Musical and Best Original Score by Charlie Smalls. The show’s hit song "Ease on Down the Road" became an instant classic, and its powerful anthem "Home" continues to inspire generations. A cultural phenomenon, The Wiz was later adapted into a 1978 film starring Diana Ross, Michael Jackson, and Richard Pryor, further solidifying its place in American pop culture.
