On International Women’s Day, She Makes We, a movement dedicated to equipping women with the tools and opportunities they need …

In honor of International Women’s Day, She Makes We hosted its signature Power of Vision (POV) event, bringing together entrepreneurs, business leaders, and professionals for a day focused on growth, connection, and opportunity. The event featured expert-led discussions, fireside chats, and high-impact networking, culminating in the announcement of the 2025 National $25,000 Pitch Competition winner, Aurelia Edwards.

Edwards, the founder of Standard Measure Technologies Corp., is reshaping the beauty and technology industries with AI-driven precision measurement technology that enhances e-commerce personalization. Her company’s innovative approach to computer vision and machine learning is creating a more tailored and inclusive shopping experience, setting a new standard for how brands engage with consumers.

She Makes We was founded on the belief that when women are supported, communities thrive. The initiative is designed to provide year-round opportunities for women to grow, collaborate, and gain access to mentorship, funding, and education. Unlike one-time events that spotlight women’s empowerment, She Makes We ensures consistent support through strategic programming, networking opportunities, and access to industry leaders who share real-world knowledge. By fostering an ecosystem of entrepreneurs, career professionals, and investors, She Makes We helps women bridge the gap between ambition and achievement, offering the necessary guidance to navigate entrepreneurship, leadership, and financial stability.

“She Makes We is committed to creating real opportunities for women in business and their careers,” said LaToya Hurley, founder of She Makes We. “This competition was designed to support women entrepreneurs who are building solutions that drive innovation and impact.”
