While primary runoff elections are over, post-election news is still unfolding as officials and campaigns assess results in Harris County, Fort Bend County, and across Texas ahead of the November general election.
Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett says all five Texas candidates she endorsed in recent runoff elections have secured victories and will now advance to November, where they will face Republican opponents.

The slate, backed by the FIRE PAC, includes candidates in congressional, county, and state-level races. Crockett and FIRE PAC leaders described the group as “battle-tested fighters” representing a new generation of leadership focused on public services, affordability, and voter engagement.
In a statement released on behalf of the FIRE PAC, Crockett said the results reflect voter support for candidates she described as “Texas tough,” adding that those elected will continue to focus on issues including healthcare access, cost-of-living concerns, and public education.
Among those advancing is Rep. Colin Allred and Rep. Christian Menefee, both of whom Crockett said she previously served alongside and trusts to “deliver healthcare and lower prices,” according to the statement.
Crockett also highlighted Rep. Venton Jones, noting his return to the Texas House after leaving the state during a previous legislative fight over voting maps. She described his work as focused on public health and education.
In local races, Darryl Jordan is advancing in the contest for Harris County District Clerk, while Dr. Jared Williams will move forward in a Tarrant County Commissioner’s Court race. Crockett said Williams is focused on issues including housing costs, mental health services, and property taxes.
FIRE PAC officials said the runoff victories demonstrate momentum heading into November, but emphasized that the broader election cycle is still ongoing.
“Because voters showed up, our candidates have won and will advance to November,” Crockett said in the statement. “While we celebrate these wins, our work is not over.”
The candidates will now prepare for the November general election, where they will face Republican opponents in their respective races as Texas voters decide control of key legislative and county offices.
