With Election Day set for Tuesday, Nov. 3, Texas attorney Thomas J. Henry has announced his endorsements of James Talarico for U.S. Senate and Gina Hinojosa for Texas governor, committing a combined $2 million in political contributions to support the two Democratic candidates.

Henry announced $1 million in support of Talarico through Lone Star Rising PAC and a separate $1 million contribution directly to Hinojosa’s gubernatorial campaign.

The announcement comes as candidates across Texas work through the final hours of the election season, making their last appeals to voters, encouraging turnout and seeking support before polls close tomorrow.

Talarico, an eighth-generation Texan and former middle school teacher, is seeking a seat in the U.S. Senate. Before entering politics, he taught sixth-grade language arts at Rhodes Middle School in San Antonio. He was first elected to the Texas House of Representatives in 2018.

Talarico’s campaign has focused on reducing the cost of living for working Texans, strengthening public education, expanding access to affordable child care and addressing rising housing and prescription drug costs. He has also emphasized limiting the influence of wealthy donors and corporate interests in government.

Hinojosa, a Texas native raised in the Rio Grande Valley, is a civil rights and labor attorney who has represented workers and families. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Texas and her law degree from George Washington University.

Before entering the Texas House of Representatives, Hinojosa served on the Austin Independent School District Board of Trustees, where she became board president. She was elected to the Texas House in 2016.

Hinojosa’s campaign for governor centers on strengthening public schools, reducing financial pressures on Texas families and addressing corruption in state government. Her legislative work has included public education funding, health care access and efforts to hold corporations accountable.

In announcing his endorsements, Henry identified prosperity, safety and opportunity as shared values behind his support for both candidates. He said his contributions reflect a commitment to helping Texans and creating opportunities for future generations.

The financial support will go to the candidates through separate channels, with Talarico receiving backing through Lone Star Rising PAC and Hinojosa receiving a direct contribution to her campaign.

Henry said his support is rooted in his hopes for the future of Texas and its residents.

The announcement comes as campaigns enter the final stretch of the election. With Election Day tomorrow, candidates and their supporters are continuing efforts to connect with voters, make their final appeals and secure support at the ballot box.
