
Elected to represent home rule cities, Councilmember Ross Gordon of Bellaire (center-left) and Mayor Pro-Tem Johnnie Simpson, Jr. of Dickinson (center-right) will serve as voting members of the H-GAC Board of Directors.
Mayor Don Davis of Manvel (left) and Councilmember and Mayor Pro-Tem Joe Compian of La Marque (right) will serve as their alternates. Home rule cities have populations of more than 5,000 residents and operate under their charters.

The Houston-Galveston Area Council (H-GAC) is stepping into 2025 with a fresh team of dynamic leaders ready to address regional challenges head-on. Following spirited caucus meetings involving cities and independent school districts (I.S.D.), the H-GAC proudly announced its newly appointed delegates to the 2025 Board of Directors. These delegates will act as crucial representatives, championing the interests of cities, counties, and school districts across the 13-county region.
