On Friday, July 26, 2013, Houston Style Magazine was on hand at the PIPELINE Students Culmination Program and Luncheon. The event was hosted by Dr. Lovell A. Jones and the Center for Research on Minority Health’s Department of Health Disparities Research at the MD Anderson Cancer Center. The PIPELINE Scientific Training Program is an 8-week summer internship for high school juniors and seniors that exposes them to careers in healthcare and allows them to work directly with ongoing research in one of the biomedical disciplines under the guidance of a full-time member of The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center faculty. This event was culminating activity for this year’s group of participants.
