Photography by Vicky Pink - On Friday, August 2, 2013, Houston Style Magazine was on hand at the Microsoft Corporate Plaza for the inaugural “Go to Work at Microsoft Day.” Students between 8 years of age and 21 years of age spent 1/2 Day at the Microsoft Corporate Plaza, learning about the latest in technologies, participating in leadership meetings with the field team, and hanging out with technology mentors. Under the theme, “Removing the Barriers While Raising the Bar – Moving Students Beyond Testing,” “Go to Work at Microsoft Day” is one initiative designed to support students discovery of new opportunities. The World Youth Foundation is a national, nonprofit organization headquartered in Houston, Texas. The mission of the WYF is to “Teach Our Youth to Win in Life Against All Odds,” regardless of race, religion, sex, national origin, physical or mental handicap, or economic background.
